https://www.google.co.uk/amp/s/www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-london-60030127.amp Wondered if there are any Londoners who share my frustration over how motorists are being treated. Or any that agree that this could be the correct move for London.

@englishmonkey but for the many sole trades men that work in and around London this will hit them hard. I’ve attempted to stop driving twice now and found that London transports just isn’t reliable enough. 😑😅 and the buses and train get overcrowded now imagine how bad it would be when more people start to use it.

@englishmonkey if you don’t mind me asking where about’s in London did you live.

@Flock Greenwich - but I was a student at the time. Hong Kong (where I live now) is def doable without a car. Surprised there are any tradesmen left in London after the Brexit disaster. There's a major shortage of every type of worker up north. Hotel cleaners now on £30+ an hour in the lakes!

@PG tube is good if you live north or the river or the inner boroughs. As for cycling 🚴♀️ if you have to haul tools around it’s impractical. I think the issue with the mayor is he thinks about all the London postcodes and forgets that there are people who live in the BR CR RM Postcodes. Plus this solution is in practical. The only way it would work is if you paid a set fee and was refunded when you MOT was done. 🤔 but by then you would have been stretched thin with rend council tax road tax utility bills and so on. Whilst Sadiq rides round in his impractical Land Rover.
