Let me lay out my new conspiracy theory here. I think many of you were surprised by the strange behavior of TL regarding the Ukrainian crisis and the war that Russia started. He literally repeated the arguments of the Kremlin propaganda. Strange, T.L. - a smart guy, I don’t believe, could trust this Putin’s imperial bullshit. Previously, he was not noticed in political discussions on his channel. So what happened?
You know, Russian money is now confiscated all over the world. Yahoo has valued up to half a trillion dollars (including citizens' money). And you know, the Russians are desperate to convert them to crypto (Coinbase just blocked 25,000 crypto wallets linked to Russian users).
My theory is that TL was sending the message: "hey, we are a friendly pro-Russian token, fully decentralized, buy us!"
And, probably, if the war was fast and with minimal losses, it could work. But now, after this blood and war crimes, he realized that it would end very badly for him, so he just stopped

@Romua _if this is true he would be unbelievably naive and unclever(what I doubt) . Personally I think he is just the biggest ex-samurai american pussy too early retired and lazy enough to grab a project to its destiny so by expressing kiddish and faithless nonsenses he is making money and fooling share holders instead of developing project.

Incredible how certain threshold are difficult to be broken:

19'888 MM holders (threshold is 20'000)
3'855 discord members (threshold is 4'000)
934 members on Metafora (threshold is 1'000)

So it seems thousands are always critical turning points.

Any idea why?

@dolphin I've often wondered the same. We have got extremely close to 20k holders a few times but we always seem to bounce back for some reason.

I believe open source federated micro-blogging is what web 3 social networks need to strive for. I think its a game changer that MetaFora.app is interoperable with a few different blockchains , it being Web3 also gives it a great chance of truly being decentralized! Sooner or later bad actors will post inappropriate pictures.There needs to be some sort of decentralized community vote to action while the content is being flagged by the "community stakers". Federated models of decentralized social networks give users the opportunity to run there own servers on there dapp and choose which other "communitydapps" there users can communicate with in the "metaforaverse". The idea of a web 3 mastodon.social sounds good really to me.....
