Metafora
Metafora suggestions for @TL

1. Lower the required MM for perks from 10 MM to 1 MM. I think having a lower requirement will attract more users, and it's less tempting to sell just 1 MM when price 2x or 3x, compared to having 10 MM when it happens.

2. I think everyone should be able to set usernames. Users talking here with their wallet adress as username is not only lessening the experience for them, but for everyone, even the users that actually meet the 10 MM requirement. People cant remember wallet adresses as easily as names, so having discussions with adresses makes it difficult to keep track of who is who.
I have a compromise solution:
Allow everyone to set custom usernames, but only allow users with 10 MM or more to have less restricted and more clean names. Users who dont own 10 MM could make usernames only 7 characters long, and automatically have their wallets last 4 characters added to the end of their username (mine would be WiwydF23), so only people with 10 MM can have neat looking usern

@Wiwy Lol, the character counter below told me 1023/1024 when i clicked "Post". And yet it cut my post short by 5 characters when it was posted.

The final sentence was supposed to say:
"so only people with 10 MM can have neat looking usernames."

@Wiwy Also i probably should add, to avoid confusion, that suggestion 2 is reffering to 10 MM requirement as it is right now, but if suggestion 1 would pass and requirement for perks is lowered to 1 MM then also all the points about 10 MM in suggestion 2 would be changed to 1 MM instead.

@Wiwy do you think there is a reason to buy only 1 MM? I think most of guys, who ever bought it (not when it was 200$), bought more than a few.

However, I think it can be reasonable to make the threshold lower for something like custom name (1 or 2 MMs would be definitely enough), however I'd like to suggest some additional features in customization for guys who hold 10/50/100/1000 MMs for example

@RomanistHere Yes i think it would make sense for some people not to wanna invest in MM and yet be Metafora users. Similar to how i use Twitter but i am not buying the Twitter stock.
Web 3 is opening up possibilities for more people than just investors and traders.

@Wiwy
Anyone can actually have a metafora account. They don’t need to hold any MM.
I believe a minimum of 1 MM should be held my anyone trying to use the app and 25 MM should be held to get the usernames and features. That way you keep fudders away. 10 or 25 MM at these prices isn’t much. Now when MM takes off to a higher price then it can be discussed to lower the amount since it’ll make sense then.
As of now buying 10 MM costs peanuts.

@Wiwy to support what you said,, everyone deserves username for a clean metafora experience, but other restriction should remain the same unless you have have 10MM, for verified badge 50+ MM required.

@Da_Truth I know anyone can have a Metafora account for free. But at least usernames specifically should also be free imo. (can be added restrictions and stuff to make it less neat for non MM holders as i specified in original post.)

I dont really like to see wallet adresses as usernames everywhere, so even when i am holding more than 10 MM i am getting a lesser user experience because of that.
And i dont think the most basic features such as a profile pic and username should be expensive at all, so that's why i suggest 1 MM for that feature.

If anything should be 10 MM, 25 MM or higher, it should be special features such as increased post limit and post length, and similar features. Imo.

@247cryptomoney The reason i still think all the most basic features also should be 1 MM is because it would not be as tempting to sell when price skyrockets. If we get lets say 50K metafora users all with 1 MM only for Metafora purposes, then we can be almost guaranteed that a large % of them will diamond hand through 2x, 3x, 5x maybe even 10x and 20x. So we get less dumpers as price start to go up, logically, i think.

I am however all for increased special features for those with bigger holdings.

@Wiwy I would agree with custom usernames idea. It gives chat more "social" feel. I would make avatar free as well.

@Wiwy you have a great point there, supported

@Da_Truth I kinda agree that usernames should be a basic feature. If you want to be able to change your profile pic or use the additional features like having a profile pic or posting limitation increases should be for holders. I also like the idea of having a 50 token verification badge.

there could be a tiered system where if you have 1 mm you can add a profile pic, 10 mm you can tie your twitter handle and get expanded posting limits to say 512 characters and at 50 mm you have unrestricted access and can post any number of times, while maintaining the 1024 character limit.

as the price of MM goes up and there are more holders these numbers can be brought down, based on a dollar value held, while maintaining the 50 token superuser status.

@Wiwy I agree. 10 MM seems a bit high for now. Perhaps we increase over time as we get enough users in Metafora

@Wiwy I agree with the lowering the 10 MM part.
BUT setting username freely is not really necessary. The wallet address is what makes Metafora unique.
How awesome is it to see a crypto wallet address can talk and express their opinions, and totally anonymous? It serves the exact purpose of web3.

@Abstract I think it should decrease over time. Both because price of MM will likely increase, and also to support even more Metafora users. The higher the requirement, the fewer users can use them because of the limited fixed supply of MM.

@myles Its impractical tho. Imagine having active discussion with 10 wallets at the same time in a thread and you constantly have to check and double check who is who, and who said what previously and so on, because you dont recognice and memorize wallet adresses as easily as actual names.

As for anonymity, the wallet adresses are still free to either pick names that dont reveal anything about themselves, or not set a username if they really want to identify as an adress.
