I think ETH is mostly "group think" / "herd mentality" at this point. It's not necessarly worth anything, the technology is frankly trash... It was first to market, antiquated by now. Most people (and defi projects) are on Polygon, Solana, Fantom, Avax or more scalable chains. Just my $0.02.

@TL
Layer 2 EVMs + zkrollups opens up possibilities of faster DeFi for specific niches/purposes, memefi, gamefi, socialfi....etc I think the groupthink phenom you're talking about is a side effect of developers waiting for what to copy because it will make them successful too... either that, or there's only so many useful constructs that ETH itself can yield, I find that likely because we're already calling them EVMs. Ethereum is where the financial OS innovation has happened, and it'll just serve as a stepping stone for the whole cryptoverse as something else steals attention from it, just like it did with Bitcoin. Look at energyweb.org, they're a chain that develops operating systems for power grids. You can deposit EWT on gnosis-safe.io too!

@TL totally agree, I wouldn’t be surprised if in 5 years time or less Etherium will be worthless, slow development of their ecosystem and too big commitment with the miners, and that is why we will keep paying such a high fees just for a swap… Etherium 2.0 will be integrated only if the price drastically drop, even then it will be to late for Etherium to recover trust and holders

I wished Bitcoin a happy birthday yesterday on my Facebook page and someone wants to know if I'm Jewish. 🤔

Hi everyone, super new to purchasing crypto assets and crypto wallets. I've only really bought coins on Robinhood or SoFi.
I followed the directions to purchase a few MMs on the website using the Polygon network. I was curious to see how much my MM tokens would be worth if I were to swap MM to USCD on my MetaMask Polygon Mainnet wallet. It says currently says that 1MM ~ 11.53 USCD token; however, on Coinmarketcap it says that 1MM is about $12.34. Can someone explain to me this difference? Is that ~11.53 on Metamask taking into account that I'm missing..?

@hamster_ball different networks, the price ends up stabilizing as arbitrage trading bots are involved

Suggestion: Could @TL ask the Discord Moderators & Administrators to treat new users a little better and help them out if they have questions or need assistance. I was looking through the Discord today and saw a few instances where people joined asking questions and were given troubling answers.
Yesterday a user joined the Discord and asked if it was the Metafora Discord and a mod named whydotas told them it was the MM Ecosystem Discord without confirming Metafora is part of that Ecosystem. The user said sorry and left the Discord. Earlier today a user joined asking about a person named Coffeezilla and an Admin pointed them to their Metafora Profile trying, suggesting that was Coffeezilla and he was apologising to TechLead. That person also left the Discord. The Admin was named Kelly. I am glad I found Metafora before I found the Discord. I wouldn't have bought MM on Gate if I ended up in the Discord first.

Metafora suggestions for @TL
1. Lower the required MM for perks from 10 MM to 1 MM. I think having a lower requirement will attract more users, and it's less tempting to sell just 1 MM when price 2x or 3x, compared to having 10 MM when it happens. 2. I think everyone should be able to set usernames. Users talking here with their wallet adress as username is not only lessening the experience for them, but for everyone, even the users that actually meet the 10 MM requirement. People cant remember wallet adresses as easily as names, so having discussions with adresses makes it difficult to keep track of who is who. I have a compromise solution: Allow everyone to set custom usernames, but only allow users with 10 MM or more to have less restricted and more clean names. Users who dont own 10 MM could make usernames only 7 characters long, and automatically have their wallets last 4 characters added to the end of their username (mine would be WiwydF23), so only people with 10 MM can have neat looking usern
