Authenticated by the artist’s estate. * One of an edition of five unique hand torn Xerox collages created by the artist for his closest friends, this work was given by Basquiat to the original owner, the essayist and poet Duncan Smith, who in turn gave it to the present owner, Seth Tillett, in 1991. Both Smith and Tillett were close friends of the artist. This artwork was authenticated by the late Gerard Basquiat, the artist’s father and the Administrator of the Estate and Chairman of the Authentication Committee. Transaction #61100, 10/6/ 2011. Purchase of this NFT gives the owner access to its unlockable content where they will find instructions for receiving the a new deed of ownership as well as instructions for taking physical possession of the work. This NFT does not contain a reproduction of the artwork but depicts a fragment of the verso for identification purposes. QR codes provide access to the work’s imagery & authentication documentation.
