and to respond to what you just said, yes decentralized social media will obviously blow up over the 2020s as centralized shitholes eat themselves alive with rules/censorship. they will say "we didn't see web3 coming" and they will lobby BILLIONS to get it taken down *cough* (not a monopoly one bit) *cough*.

but it will inevitably fail. as more and more people see why decentralized social medias are important. of course, and decentralized social media that censors is instantly deemed useless

in short: they're only allowed to ban words like "nigger" or "simp"/"virgin" (yes, twitch.tv has gotten THAT matriarchic that they ban even basic words used in everyday language to manufacture a narrative).

when you ban a word, you're trying to sculpt how people think. i don't inherently like vulgar speech myself. but when something is banned, all it does is show they have something to hide. not that it's false. the integrity of free speech means more than someones feelings.

this is also why banning certain words is possibly the most harmful thing to ever be allowed on the web. firstly, its blatantly unconstitutional. of course a constitution is only as useful as it is enforced. and the top 5-7 sites on the web have a monopoly over what is written and typed on the internet. they spend billions to try and prove to the courts that they don't have a monopoly when they clearly do (as seen they banned the sitting president all on the same day off of the entire web).

the internet has no shortage of centralized garbage where the owners eventually sell out to appeal to the newest flavor of the month propaganda whether its women being equal to men, or the 5th covid booster shot being the one that will save us, etc.

on these platforms, anyone who speaks out against the narrative is censored and ridiculed. eventually these platforms tell people what they think rather than being an outlet to express what they think.

it doesn't matter. this is much more like an anonymous twitter than it is a forum like reddit or 4chan anyway

i disagree. parent comments and child comments are one of the worst aspects of reddit. its the one thing 4chan > reddit which is the fact that on 4chan, all comments are equal.

when you have a system like reddit does it encourages drone behavior and people who think outside of the box get downvoted. it becomes a watered down low iq place, rather than a place for free minded individuals.

true auto refresh too would be a huge improvement.

Reply feature is more critical than a like button. Ability to @ people. But yea a like button is top 3 features needed so if you're feeling inspired to make that right now then that's a good improvement.

decentralization and moderation are incompatible. you cannot have both. unless a rule is written in the code, it will never be enforced. and that is a good thing. fuck rules.

if at any point this site forcefully requires personal information or censors a single word (even the most vulgar and controversial), its a completely worthless site. never forget that.
