Of course, they'll adjust the prices as the project develops and also the rewards that you'll get from holding. It does feel a little high right now. They'll try things that may not work and they'll adjust. But I at it's core, the project is fantastic. The users can benefit from becoming a part of it, not companies like its predecessors. And as long as they listen to their community, I think they'll improve, and find the solutions and it will be fun to see this grow.

I just think having mm should be tied to more cosmetic bonuses as opposed to functional ones. So that if someone's comes to metafora, they can use the service and organically enter into mm because they want some quality of life improvement. Not thinking, "oh man I have to risk purchasing this coin that might go to nothing to just send a message."

This discussion is nice and healthy. I think most people here want to see the project succeed and this is just exploring ideas as to how to best do it. I believe requiring the purchase of 10 mm to someone who hears about metafora before mm would be discouraging because it's a niche alt coin with a small number of holder compared to any other coin. So it may discourage someone to purchase it because while you are not paying (as the mm is held), there is no reason for someone to think that mm will hold value.

CJ, its a proof of concept. Facebook started with it's niche allowing only Harvard Grads to join. Give TL some time to build on top of it with the community lol...
CJ must think Zuckerberg woke up one day, started Facebook and later that night was worth 100billion.

You're actually not paying. This is a different type of transaction. It's something new. Imagine that you could use Netflix, but instead of paying a monthly fee, you had to own a share of the company to be able to use it. Not only would you not be paying, but having that share could make you a lot of money. This is a different type of transaction. Doing this is like becoming the electricity that powers a computer, and we all do. However, I do agree that it needs to be tuned. But it is still very interesting

There's nothing free in this world. when will dumb millennials get it.

Agreed Metafora needs to be fully free for this to go viral.

What happens in a perfect hypothetical where metafora is overrun with new users wanting to get on. Everyone buys mm, pumping the price making it increasingly difficult to get basic functionality. If the old high is reached again at 200 or so then it would be $2000 for access to basic functionality? Why would someone else then not clone metafora, but without this wall to access essential features?

I doubt Twitter or Facebook would be as widely adopted if you had to pay $200 just for basic functionality. However there is plenty of people that will pay for basic bonuses to something useful. Even adding a little emoji next to a name after a certain token amount would probably be sufficient incentive for certain NEW metafora users to buy mm

I agree with CJ. There should be lower requirement for naming rights and maybe more tiers for holding more mm. Just having mm tied to the social network aspect of metafora should be sufficient in terms of marketing

Metafora is so new and you're already trying to alienate non-holders and holders of MM, at least do it when you are established. Remove whoever came up with this idea, is their ego from being an early adopter of MM too big?

Whoever came up with this idea to market both Metafora and Million token isn't doing their job. You are not an established brand nor do you have strong recognition amongst the crypto community, putting a price on such a basic feature from the get go is clearly dooming you for failure.

I can speak with certainty if I don't hold at least 10 MM, I won't give a shit about Metafora to say the least - but that's just me.

Even then, no one in their right mind will buy just a smallest fraction of MM, with it prices at $20-30 a pop, anyone could buy at least one MM token. So it's pointless to put having MM in the wallet as a prerequisite for naming rights.

Come up with better perks for Million holders if you want to tie Metafora with Million token, naming rights should be a basic necessity on the web today and no one should find it hard to access such a feature.

Million token has 18 decimal places, you can say if you own even the smallest fraction in your wallet, you are eligible for naming rights, which is the barest of minimum.

The Metafora dev team should do away with the 10 MM requirement for naming rights. There's only 1 million in supply and that means only 100k people will have a handle. If anyone owns more than 10, they essentially decrease this number by 1.

I'm sure y'all want to tie Metafora with Million token but this will drive away adoption because I will not be interested in this platform if I even need 10 of some unknown token to give myself a name - if I was new to Million token.
